In November 2022, Scott Taylor was promoted to Vice President, Area Manager of the Memphis division. Scott’s success as our Memphis Preconstruction Director deeply impacted the local team; his hard work and determination paved the way for further expansion in the Southeast Region. Scott keeps his focus on “people, process, and performance.”
One of Flintco’s strategic pillars revolves around people: finding, recruiting, and retaining the best talent in the industry. “Creating opportunities where people can come together with all their unique talents to build amazing buildings that are enhancing the Memphis skyline is what inspires me to come to work each day,” he said. “At its core, construction is a people business.” For Scott, success means working together from a foundation of excellence, continuing to prioritize safety above all else, and applying industry best practices through our Lean2.0® approach to operations. Scott said his No. 1 goal each day is for everyone associated with a Flintco job to go home safely.
Prior to starting his career in construction in 1995 and subsequently earning his Master Electrician license, Scott was a member of the US Army 82nd Airborne. He has worked for both general contractors and electrical trade partners. Away from work, Scott spends most of his free time with family. Scott is married with three sons. His family is passionate about music! Scott’s oldest son is a working musician. Growing up in Indiana, he is a lifelong fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the University of Notre Dame.
